They thought the new Lamborghini Revuelto was slow. So they made it faster.
2000 HP of pure insanity
Today, we’re talking about a car that makes about as much sense as using a flamethrower to light a birthday cake.
Meet the world’s first twin-turbo Lamborghini Revuelto, courtesy of the mad scientists at Underground Racing.
If you’re not familiar, the Revuelto is Lamborghini’s latest attempt to break the laws of physics. It’s a hybrid supercar with a mind-blowing 1,000 horsepower right out of the factory. That’s the kind of power that would make most cars explode if you even glanced at the throttle.
But for some folks, 1,000 horsepower isn’t enough. They want more. And that’s where Underground Racing comes in… turning the Revuelto into a monster that goes way beyond what you’d expect.
Enter Underground Racing, a company that looks at Lamborghini’s engineers and thinks, “This needs more boost.”
These guys took the Revuelto’s already insane 6.5-liter V12 engine — which is good for 813 horsepower out of the box — and strapped on a pair of turbochargers. But not just any turbochargers.
These are Precision billet wheel turbochargers — the kind that could probably inflate a bouncy castle in three seconds flat.
The result? A jaw-dropping 2,000 horsepower. That’s right, two thousand. It’s the kind of number that makes you wonder if they accidentally left a calculator in the engine bay during the dyno run.
To put that in perspective, 2,000 horsepower is roughly the same as 15 Ford Fiestas. It’s more powerful than some small aircraft. In fact, this kind of power doesn’t just blur the line between car and plane — it sets that line on fire and does burnouts around the ashes.
And here’s the craziest part: this is just Underground Racing’s first build. They’re already planning full engine and twin-turbo upgrades to make it even more insane. Because, apparently, 2,000 horsepower is for wimps.
Now, you’re probably wondering how they managed to double the power of a car that’s already out of this world. Well, aside from the turbochargers, they’ve also added something called a JRR M1 engine management system. I’m not entirely sure what that is, but I imagine it’s the kind of computer that could hack into the Pentagon while also calculating pi to the last digit.
But let’s take a step back and really think about this. The standard Revuelto already rockets from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. That’s not so much acceleration as it is a desperate attempt to leave you behind entirely.
So, what happens when you double the power like this?
Honestly, I’m not sure, but I’m guessing it involves breaking some serious laws of physics, possibly creating a small black hole, and definitely leaving your internal organs somewhere in the previous zip code.
Oh, and let’s not forget — this is a hybrid.
It’s got three electric motors on top of that twin-turbocharged V12. Two on the front axle and one with the gearbox. It’s like they took the drivetrain of a Toyota Prius, pumped it full of steroids and Red Bull for a year, then strapped it to a rocket.
Speaking of which, the gearbox is an 8-speed dual-clutch. I can only imagine the internal dialogue every time you change gears: “Alright, first to second… No problem… SWEET MOTHER OF MERCY, WHAT IS HAPPENING?!”
But here’s the real mind-bender: This is a road car. A car that, theoretically, you could use to pop down to the shops for a pint of milk. Though by the time you got there, I suspect the milk would have turned to cheese — just from the sheer time-warp acceleration.
This car makes you question reality itself. I mean, who looks at a 1,000-horsepower hybrid supercar and thinks, “You know what this needs? More power.” It’s like staring at the sun and deciding it could use a little more shine.
And yet, you can’t help but admire the sheer, unfiltered madness of it all. In a world where even supercars are starting to worry about fuel economy and emissions, Underground Racing has looked at the rulebook and decided to set it on fire — right in the engine bay. It’s the automotive equivalent of turning everything up to 11, realizing the dial goes to 12, and then rebuilding the whole thing to go to 20. It’s excessive, ridiculous, and utterly bonkers — and that’s what makes it glorious.
Now, you might wonder: What on earth do you do with a 2,000-horsepower Lamborghini? There aren’t many roads where you could even use that power without ending up in a different time zone. This car doesn’t just accelerate — it alters the rotation of the Earth.
But maybe that’s the point. Maybe it’s not about usability or practicality.
Maybe it’s about chasing the extreme, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
The twin-turbo Revuelto is a middle finger to the idea of “enough.” It’s a rolling manifesto that screams, “Yes, we can,” even when everyone else is asking, “But why would you?”
In a world where cars are getting more alike by the day, the twin-turbo Revuelto stands out as a glorious beacon of unhinged excess. It’s a reminder that engineering isn’t always about making things sensible or practical — sometimes, it’s about seeing just how far you can push the envelope before it bursts into flames.
So, here’s to Underground Racing and their insane creation. In a world obsessed with efficiency and restraint, they’ve decided to fight fire with more fire. And throw in a couple of colossal turbochargers for good measure.
Will it be faster than the standard Revuelto?
No question.
Will it be more efficient?
Absolutely not.
Will it be more fun?
Well, that depends on how you define fun.
If your idea of a good time involves strapping yourself to a Saturn V rocket and hoping for the best, then yes, I imagine it’ll be an absolute riot.
