The perfect car for sports-driving lovers
Lamborghini Veneno
Masterpiece on the road
The Lamborghini Veneno is a super-exclusive sports car made to mark Lamborghini’s 50th birthday. Launched at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, it’s based on the Aventador model. With a jaw-dropping price tag of $4 million, it was one of the priciest cars on the planet when it came out.
The Veneno is Lamborghini’s road-ready race car. Its sleek front is designed to boost airflow and keep the car stable at high speeds. Special air channels around the car reduce lift and enhance downforce. The smooth bottom helps air flow smoothly underneath, while a big carbon-fiber rear wing, with a central fin, can be adjusted in three ways. The 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels have a turbine design to cool the brakes, and they’re easy to swap thanks to their center locks. The car rides on high-performance Pirelli P-Zero tires.
The Veneno’s engine is an upgraded version of the Aventador’s 6.5-liter V12. It delivers an impressive 750 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque. This extra power comes from bigger air intakes and a tweaked exhaust system, making the Veneno even more powerful and thrilling to drive.
The Veneno keeps the Aventador’s carbon-fiber frame and pushrod suspension for a strong, lightweight build. Inside, it uses a similar design to the Aventador but adds a cool “carbon skin” touch. It also has the same 7-speed ISR automated manual transmission as the Aventador, now with a new “track” mode for better performance on the racetrack.
The Veneno’s design is a bold shift from previous Lamborghinis, drawing inspiration from racing cars. It keeps the Y-shaped elements from the Aventador and features rear wheel arches reminiscent of the classic Countach. The engine cover is ventilated to keep the engine cool, and the car’s extreme aerodynamic features highlight its track-ready performance. It can hit a top speed of 356 km/h (221 mph) and goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.8 seconds. The Veneno also stops from 60 mph in 98 feet and can handle corners with a force of 1.41 G.
The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster takes the aerodynamic efficiency of a racing prototype onto everyday roads. This super sports car is characterized by optimal aerodynamics in order to guarantee stability in fast curves and a behavior like a racing prototype. All of this on a car devised for the road. The perfect car for sports-driving lovers.
